We have been awarded the BEF Breeders Quality mark Award for Excellence each year since 2005, one of only a handful of studs to have passed the rigorous checks & inspection process.

This gives mare owners the piece of mind of knowing that their mares will receive the highest level of care & veterinary back up during their stay with us from our highly qualified team.

For A.I. customers it guarantees that the quality & processing of the semen is to the highest standards, with first rate disease control measures. Also that the correct paperwork is carried out to ensure that the resulting foal can be registered & have verified parentage, a part of the process which is often neglected.

With regular inspection's by the BEF & DEFRA taking place it also ensures that these standards are permanently in place. So now not only is our reputation your guarantee but also the award.

Performance and coloured stallion breeders

At Country Farm Stud we breed Proven Performance Stallions including the largest collection of coloured performance stallions in Europe.

We never neglect the performance of our stallions in favour of colour, we do not breed "just coloured" stallions. We now stand as many "non-coloured" performance stallions as "coloured".

Our stallions & progeny can be seen at most of the major shows throughout the season, thus proving their excellent temperaments as well as their performance.

We are one the few studs that offer NFFR terms on chilled semen, which means that we will provide as many insemination doses as it takes to get you mare in foal.

We now offer education and training courses, some of which are in conjunction with MYERSCOUGH COLLEGE, whichinclude:

We are also the stud unit for Myerscough college, Karen Raine - Country Farm Stud owner & manager - is a Myerscough College Stud lecturer, NVQ assesor & specialist Breeding & Performance Horse Assesor as well as a BHS Int SM & A.I technician.

All our staff have various qualifications from NVQ's to Equine degree.
